At the age of four I remember how my dad put brush to canvas and painted the most beautiful pictures with his oils. He made a blank canvas come to life with bold, bright colors. I was mesmerized. I knew at that moment that I wanted to be an artist, I just didn't know what it was called. Growing up, crayons and coloring books were a staple to my
childhood development. I learned to read and recognize the colors from both the crayons and the coloring books.
Now, as an adult, my daily journaling is done in the form of drawings, doodles, quotes and personal thoughts. Out of this treasure trove of ideas comes the inspiration for Color Book Studio. It's a place where I can add bold colors to a blank surface and transform a piece of furniture or jewelry into a very personal piece of art. I am still mesmerized and it excites the inner child within me.
With the love and encouragement of my family I am privileged to share my art with you. My hope is that as you explore Color Book Studio, you will be encouraged, inspired and mesmerized, as I was as a child and still am today.
